The limit of aesthetic embodiment of images in modern choreography

Abstract

In each century there was and developed its own modern choreographic art. Historical, classical and folk dance of its time have been developing and had signs of modern forms. Modernism, modern jazz, contemporary were also new trends that created new lexical and stylistic features, and nowadays these areas have their own methodological foundations and schools that had educated and are educating new generations of dancers. The search of modern methods and the transformation of old forms are natural process for any field of science, art and guidelines for development. Moreover, the processes of transformation is taking place today in modern choreographic art, confirming this historical spiral of events. The creative development of the artistic environment can be considered as a progressive push forward only when it has intellectual, ideological and aesthetic base. “Dance for the sake of dance” or dance as "I am talented, but not understood by society" can be considered as new forms of creative vision by the author-producer, but is not able to reproduce modern values and, moreover, does not enrich or beautify life. The absence of educational, semantic, spiritual and aesthetic components in such “works” make it impossible to equate a pseudo-creative author's vision with art samples. Such works will never become a classic legacy of choreographic art, but will always remain an instant use of widespread demand without an aesthetic component.

The article examines the concepts of “art” and “aesthetics” and their direct connection in the context of a choreographic work. In addition, the concepts of “creativity” and “creation” of the author's vision of concerts and performances were studying there. Emphasis were placed on the aesthetics of themes, methods and ways of realization of creative choreographic ideas. Methods of creation and embodiment of choreographic images were analyzed, proceeded from the point of view of aesthetics and aesthetic taste of a society. Also, the issues of aesthetic education of the individual and society in general were raised.
