Editorial Policy
Principles of Editorial (Publishing) Activity
The release of Almanac in the activity follows next transnational principles:
- executes the requirements of Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), of Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI) and Berlin Declaration Open Access to Knowledge in the Sciences and Humanities;
- adheres to editorial independence;
- encourages and supports scientific honesty;
- gives advantage to the intellectual standards and high levels of materials;
- satisfies scientific necessities and interests of authors and readers;
- systematic conducts work after to the improvement Almanac;
- quality of materials which are published guarantees;
- provides anonymity in the system of mutual relations «Author is Reviewer (-ers)»;
- informs the authors of rules and requirements of publication;
- adheres to tolerance in intercourse.
Co-Operating is with Authors
In co-operating with Аuthors the editorial board of Almanac follows such rules:
- carries out all necessary measures for providing of quality of materials which are presented and subject to the next publication;
- necessarily informs the author of manuscript or about the acceptance of the article to printing, whether about the necessity of her revision, whether about the rejection of the article;
- gives the argued description of expert estimation of the article presented to printing.
Co-Operating is with Reviewers
In co-operating with Reviewers the release of Collection adheres to the next rules:
- avouches for reviewers confidentiality;
- presents possibility (right) to give up criticizing without explanation of reasons of refuse (except the set conflict of interests);
- examines criticizing as inalienable part of evaluation of scientific publication, which confirms high quality of the scientific articles.
The article is accepted to printing only after her discussion on meeting of editorial board of Almanac at presence of positive review of reviewer and support of members of editorial board
majority. The geared-up in full number of Almanac is examined and recommended to printing the decision of Scientific advice of Kyiv municipal academy of circus and variety arts.
Observance of Ethic Norms (Ethic Expectations)
At development of positions of publishing policy of Almanac release followed recommendations of Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and also by experience of the Ukrainian and foreign professional concords, scientific organizations, releases of editions and others like that.
Submitting an article for publication in the almanac, the authors confirm that:
- the article is an original work created by these authors;
- the article has not been previously published and is not under consideration in other editions;
- intellectual right to have an article only of the authors, the article does not infringe copyright of third parties;
- the authors received permission to reproduce in the article all materials that the authors do not own;
- if the article is co-authored, the author who submits the article for publication in the almanac guarantees that he has been authorized by other authors specified in the article to submit the article for publication in the almanac.
After publication of the article in the almanac, the authors reserve the right to:
- use the materials of the published article in the preparation of other publications, including books, educational and methodological publications;
- use printed or electronic copies of the article for scientific, educational and other purposes, including distributing the article to students and colleagues to promote scientific research.
Authors retain the copyright and full publishing rights without restrictions.
