Marta Bazak: the personal dimension of creativity

Abstract

The creative path of modern masters reveals the potential of Ukrainian art in general and in the context of current trends in conceptual art, which is extremely important in the current political situation. Ukraine needs recognition and has an extremely large number of worthy artists whose creative work needs to be distributed around the world and represented as outstanding examples of Ukrainian art and culture. The multifaceted creative activity of Marta Bazak, which is the basis of this article, reveals the principles of not only the author's textile work, but also the powerful moral, ethical, and emotional aspects of the artist's painting. The complex themes raised in Marta Ivanovna's work are presented through simple, stylized, somewhat naive images and forms, nevertheless saturated with deep social problems and find a response from a wide range of viewers. An overview of the artist's many years of activity and a description of her author's style, figurative formation, color palette, and plot content of her works gives a full impression of Ms. Bazak's personality and worldview. Analysis of textile works for the application of classical and authorial techniques, the inclusion of alternative materials that affect expressiveness and imagery, gives a full picture of the context of the artist's work in conceptual art. Images that are built on the basis of traditional Ukrainian culture and integrated into the modern artistic and social space are extremely resonant in the viewer's mind. The lyrical emotional palette of the works reflects the tenderness of the author's nature and sensitive attitude to life. Marta Bazak's teaching activity is a key component of her personality and creativity, through which she embodies her life purpose and invests in the future of Ukrainian society, educating new generations of professional and creative artists. Considering the artist's teaching activity, we strive to show the space to which Ukrainian influence has already spread, and the fate of young artists who were lucky enough to study with the artist and continue to carry the foundations of creativity laid by her in their own artistic activities.
